Internet Archive

Internet Archive is "a digital library of internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital format". A few things you can do? Check out what the internet looked like 10 years ago (try 9-11-2001), look at past inaugurations, watch vintage cartoons (under moving images), or even browse the Live Music Archive. Lots of things to look at and use in the classroom!

Capture Tool with SMARTBoard / Notebook

One of the coolest tools I have FINALLY conquered lately is the Capture Tool (Camera) within Notebook software (SMARTBoard).

Here's the basics:

1. Start the Notebook software
2. Click on the camera and then minimize to the tray
3. Browse, get to the page or file you want to copy.
4. Bring the camera up (Click on Capture in the Tray)
5. Click on the first icon.
6. Click and drag over what you want to copy into the Notebook.
7. The camera will take a "picture" (copy) of what you chose and will place it into the Notebook software.

the four tools are:
Outline capture tool
Web page capture tool
Screenshoot capture tool (Just like a print screen )
Freehand Capture tool

They all work the same way, just a little different result. Give it a try!!

getting started

This is going to be an attempt to keep up with the latest "new" things I find everyday. technology tidbits by bond will be way to showcase to my peers the tools that they can put into their toolkit or techniques to enhance what they are already using.
